The god of the Bible does not exist.
The Bible is a collection of Middle Eastern folklore that gullible people, over the centuries, have accepted as historical fact. If a "historical Jesus" ever lived on earth, he was just a man. He never walked on water, never changed water into wine, and did not rise from the dead. These are only myths that grew up around him. The Gospels are "fan fiction."
People do not have souls. There is no afterlife. Religion is essentially a primitive and corrupt enterprise. Religious belief, that is, belief in a magical invisible Superfriend, is not necessary for someone to lead a moral, decent, happy, and successful life.
