The god of the Bible does not exist.
Please understand that I am very familiar with (a) Christianity (in most of its forms) and (b) the Bible. I studied my way out of the Christian faith.
The Bible is a collection of Middle Eastern folklore that gullible people, over the centuries, have accepted as historical fact. If a "historical Jesus" ever lived on earth, he was just a man. He never walked on water, never changed water into wine, and did not rise from the dead. These are only myths that grew up around him. The Gospels are "fan fiction."
If the god described in the Bible exists, he is a disgusting, dishonest, despicable, revolting monster, on the order of Stalin or Hitler. He makes false promises. He orders people to commit genocide, and he ordered Abraham to murder his own son. He wants your children and grandchildren to spend an eternity in a lake of fire.
If he exists, he sat on his sorry worthless almighty ass for 12 years while Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were throwing Jewish babies into ovens (Dachau opened in 1933). God sat and watched ... and did nothing.
People do not have souls.
There is no afterlife.
Religion is a primitive and corrupt enterprise.
Religious belief, that is, belief in a magic invisible Superfriend, is not necessary for someone to lead a moral, decent, happy, and successful life.
If you're a grownup, you should be able to face reality without an emotional support fairy.
