Christianity, with its "loving God," also contains the threat of eternal torture in a lake of fire (Matt. 25:41).
The god that millions of children pray to every night wants to torture them forever. Infinite suffering for finite crimes.
Evangelical Christianity tells us that if you live a perfect life for 78 years but you commit one sin — you lust after a woman — you lie to your wife (maybe you told her she looks beautiful in that dress, when she doesn't) — that's enough to qualify you for an eternity of screaming and suffering and pain (James 2:10).
That alone should make you want to throw up.
